Oakwood Hill
A series of sliding concrete walls sets this farm estate apart.
Currently under construction, this renovation of a 1950s farmhouse started with a thorough masterplan for the property’s 30-acres of wetlands, woods, and pasture. Working closely with the client, the design draws from the historic essence of the Minnetonka rural landscape, taking advantage of its setting by maximizing views, optimizing outdoor activity spaces, and utilizing a diverse palette of native plants. The architecture and landscape work in unison, creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior living spaces; the site reveals itself through moments of gardening, play, leisure and entertainment. Vibrancy, views, formality, and elegance were the driving components of this project.
